Events at Rathwood
Do I need to prebook or can I purchase tickets on the day?
Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance and are available through our website.
Can I reschedule if I can't make it on the day?
Yes you can reschedule if you have purchased the cancellation option at the time of your booking. Please get in contact with us as soon as possible by phone 0599156285 and email us on events@rathwood.com.
How many people can I have per booking?
There is no minimum requirement per booking. You may book in your entire group in just one booking, and our staff will assist you on the day
Do I need a ticket for a baby?
Yes, all children and babies regardless of age must have a ticket.
This complies with health and safety practices and is a requirement of our insurance company.
What do I need to bring with me for the show?
We ask that you bring your ticket or have it saved to your phone to allow us to check you efficiently. Please dress accordingly. We also advise that buggies are not allowed inside the big top but we will have a special area to store while you are at the event.
How long before the event starts do I have to be in Rathwood?
You should arrive at least 30 minutes before your booking slot. We endeavor for all shows to run according to schedule, and the trains will run on time & we can’t guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the next time slot if you miss your original booking.

What time does my event start?
Your start time will be stated on your ticket. Please arrive 30 minutes beforehand as each event starts on time.
I entered details incorrectly when I made a booking, how do I change them?
Please have your ticket number ready and call our help desk on 0599156285 to amend any details or send us an email on events@rathwood.com.
Do I need to pre-book or can I buy tickets when I arrive at Rathwood?
Yes, tickets must be booked in advance and are available to purchase on our website. Please note, due to the amount of bookings taken daily, we are unable to take bookings over the phone.
Can I book my event by mobile phone?
Yes, our system is mobile friendly.
What do I do if my ticket receipt has not been emailed to me?
You can find your ticket by logging into your Rathwood account. Alternatively, you may email us at reception@rathwood.com to request a copy be re-sent to the email address used when making your booking.
Can I reserve a table in the restaurant?
Yes during peak periods reservations may be necessary to guarantee a table
You are welcome to speak to one of our Restaurant Chefs or Supervisors on your arrival, if you have special dietary needs or requirements.
Can I get a refund if I find out, after I book, that we cannot come on that day?
No, sorry you cannot receive a refund unless you purchased the ‘Cancellation Option' where applicable when originally booking your tickets.
Can I receive a refund due to adverse weather conditions?
Unfortunately not, you cannot receive a refund due to adverse weather conditions unless you purchased the ‘Cancellation Option' where applicable when originally booking your tickets. Rathwood will endeavor to ensure that all events will go ahead.In the unlikely event that Rathwood has to cancel any event, we will post updates on our social media : Instagram and Facebook as well as contacting the ticket holders affected. If Rathwood cancels the event due to weather conditions, you will be contacted and the relevant ticket holders refunded.
What is the Cancellation Option?
If you availed of the Cancellation Option when booking your tickets and you now wish to cancel or transfer your tickets to another date, please email your request to cancellations@rathwood.com. Please note that you cannot claim a refund or transfer of part of your ticket i.e. only full ticket cancellations and transfers can be made for your full ticket.
You must email your request to cancellations@rathwood.com before the cancellation date and time stated on your Ticket. Please note once you have submitted a valid cancellation email it cannot be withdrawn.
When sending an email state your Ticket reference number, name your tickets were booked under, reason for cancelling or transferring and daytime contact number
If you submit a cancellation AFTER this date and time, you will NOT be entitled to any refund. Please note that the Cancellation date and time is printed separately on your Ticket, but only if you paid for the Cancellation Option at the time of booking. If you submit a cancellation email you will receive a receipt of your email from cancellations@rathwood.com and you will be contacted within 10 working days of this receipt.
You will be offered an alternative date and time, if one is available and a refund of your tickets less charges if another date and time is not available.
Note: No refunds will be made for: Cancellations where the Cancellation Option has not been purchased, Cancellations after the Cancellation Date and Time printed on your ticket. Where you have paid for the cancellation option Cancellations must only be submitted to the email address (cancellations@rathwood.com) or they will be considered invalid and no refund will be made. Part of a ticket where only some of your group cannot attend, the Cancellation Option applies to the full ticket only. We will NOT accept telephone or personal cancellations only cancellations by email on or before the date and time for cancellation on your ticket
Please be aware that the booking fee is non-refundable, even in the event that you decide to cancel your booking.
I already have a booking made and I want to add the Cancellation option?
You can only choose the Cancellation Option when making your initial booking. We cannot add it to your ticket once your booking is complete.
Why is there a charge levied?
The charges are levied on us and pay for credit/debit card processing services, the installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software and all other costs associated with the ticket transaction.
Are pets allowed on the train?
No, only guide dogs.

Rathwood is located on the R725 Tullow - Shillelagh Road. Our Eircode is R93 X3F9.
Is there parking at Rathwood?
Yes, there are 300 free car spaces, 6 disabled spaces and ample parking for coaches.
